N25˚ 15.908', E55˚ 17.704'. The yellow bride is a yellow waterproof microcache that we placed during our ISEA geocaching bus tour of Dubai.

This site by the Creek marked the end of our group's adventure and final destination: exploring the traditional waterside areas of Bur Dubai. Wander through the narrow lanes of Bur Dubai's fabulous markets of the textile souk to the Creek on the way to find this microcache - or take a ride in the small wooden abra boats from the Deira side across to Bur Dubai water taxi station (stop 31, just outside the souk) or direct to Dubai Old Souk station. This is a busy area of boatmen and other muggles, so stealth is required. [Hint: Beneath 'General Trading LLC Al Noor Alsi', Behind two red doors.] Looking further left from the cache site you will see a lovely terrace cafe over the water - we enjoyed a delicious mezze lunch there at the end of our geocaching tour!

The cache name refers to one of the manequins in a nearby stall, her yellow sequin covered sari and distant gaze evoking imaginary stories of a journey here...  What other journeys bring people here?

Impressions:

The yellow bride sees the tall towers of the mosques, and smells the choking fumes of the abra engines...

Playful, time stops for the afternoon rest break, eyes watching, will we be discovered?...

Tastes to share... colourful, spicy, cardamom sweet...
